Next to its Silverado fullsize pickup trucks, the front-wheel-drive, five-passenger Cruze compact four-door sedan is Chevrolet’s best-selling vehicle in Canada. And to better compete against rivals like the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Jetta (both updated here in New York as well), the 2015 Cruze receives its first design refresh since it went on-sale in Canada in 2011 as a replacement for the Cobalt. BMW has already premiered its new 3 Series Sedan-based M4 two-door Coupe and Convertible. Put the two together, and we have BMW’s second New York world debut: the rear-wheel-drive 2015 BMW M4 Convertible, powered by the M4 Coupe’s twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder gas engine, making 425 horsepower and 406 pound-foot of torque and mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed M dual-clutch transmission.
