2014 New York: 2015 Volkswagen Jetta

DSC01199 Story and photos by John LeBlanc Volkswagen has been continually updating its best-selling front-wheel-drive, five-passenger Jetta compact four-door sedan since the current generation went on-sale for 2011. And Jetta updates for 2015 are targeted at saving more at the fuel pumps, with a new, more fuel-efficient turbodiesel engine and subtle tweaks to its bodywork for better aerodynamics. In addition to the adjustments to its front and rear styling for a cleaner shape to cleave the air on all models, both the 2015 Volkswagen Jetta 1.8T turbocharged four-cylinder gas engine and TDI turbo-diesel now have an active grille shutter on the radiator. Visually, you’ll also find new LED head- and taillights. New-for-2015 safety features include blind spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert and frontal collision warning. DSC01197 DSC01198
