2014 New York: 2015 Toyota Camry
Story and photos by John LeBlanc
Despite laying claim to being North America’s best-selling car for the last twelve years, Toyota seen fit to give its 2015 Camry midsize sedan a thorough redesign only three model years after the current generation’s debut for 2012, with all-new exterior and interior styling, plus refinements said to deliver a quieter and more refined and athletic ride and handling package.
Taking its cues from recently introduced Toyotas, the five-passenger, front-wheel-drive 2015 Camry four-door sedan gets more adventurous exterior styling and a redesigned cockpit, highlighted by a large central digital display and more use of high-quality materials. Two new trim lines, the “sporty and luxurious” Camry XSE and the “eco-fun” Camry Hybrid SE join the lineup. What Toyota hasn’t touched are the Camry’s powertrains. The 2.5-litre gas four-cylinder, 3.5L six-gas and gas-electric Hybrid Synergy Drive carryover.
